I love to create multi media assemblage, it feels like an emotional puzzle with vivid color paint texture and predominantly painted women’s faces. I add found images, icons, jewelry and clay. I convey a spiritual message within each piece. I find it cathartic and it is my passion. I am an art therapist and believe that creation of any type of art heals the soul.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration is spiritual energy. I am inspired by women’s grace and strength, it is a main theme in my art. There are so many layers to explore and propose. I am also inspired by horses, hearts, and flowers. All of these convey emotions as they are powerful yet delicate and intense yet peaceful. Creative expression is my lifeline and I love to share my passion for art with others in hopes they can express their emotions creatively. I truly believe there exists an artist in everyone.
What would you do with $25,000?I would open an art studio that I have not had in sometime. I would love to start some art classes and art therapy at that studio. This endeavor would require some up front costs. My goal is the help people through the creative process and at the same time delve into my art as it is my solace and serenity. I would love to share this passion with the world.
